As colleges and universities explore the expanding role of AI in enrollment, much of the focus tends to center on fairness, bias, and transparency. These are essential considerations. While many tools claim to use machine learning to “predict” which students are most likely to enroll, the problem is that these predictions often come too early, or too late, to actually influence the outcome.
